Techsolute is one of the pioneers in distribution of engineering adhesives in India. With over 20 years of experience in this field, Techsolute has been associated with leading brands including Loctite for 14 long years.
Manufacturing anaerobic adhesives in not rocket science anymore and there are several very high quality adhesive manufacturers worldwide who offer these at very low prices. To this extent, we at Techsolute are now marketing "SONLOK" products manufactured by "Parson Adhesives, USA".
There are still many questions that a user might ask about anaerobic adhesives. Here, we try to answer some of those. Many are also listed on our official website. For more, please feel free to contact us anytime.

Q. What exactly is meant by "anaerobic adhesives"?
A. Anaerobic adhesives are products that have two requirements to perform:
- Absence of air
- Presence of 2 metal parts.
The presence of metal ions accelerates the cure of these products. When the parts are assembled with an anaerobic adhesive, the excess liquid oozes out and does not harden due to exposure to air. However, the adhesive that is "sandwiched" between the two metal parts cures and does it's required job.
Q. How fast do anaerobic adhesives cure?
A. In general, it takes 24 hours to fully cure but initial setting time can be as low as 10 minutes. The curing time can be accelerated by heating at 65°C for 3 hrs or at 125°C for about one hour. Although it is not recommended since this results in reduced ultimate strength. Tests have to be done to check the suitability as per the application.
